Glastonbury experience.

Waiting at Bristol bus station for our coach to Glastonbury was an experience in itself. Everyone around us, in wellies, with flowers in there hair, everyone talking about how exited they are. The way down was through the beautiful Somerset countryside, untill finally, you arrive at the other side of a hill where it overlooks Glastonbury festival. Everyone on the coach was cheering! , when they stamped the band on my wrist it became a reality. I was very impressed- no bag search, nothing.

The walk to our campsite was long, hot and painful with the bags. Other people had wheels which seemed like the best idea ever at the time..

As no music was starting till Friday, we had a day of drinking eating and exploring Glastonbury grounds. Some friends of ours brought stuff in for a bbq in cool bags which was lovely, and we had enough alcohol to give the whole of Glastonbury a sip. It had a great vibe around the camp.

Waking up on Friday was so exiting! I knew the music was starting and couldn’t wait too get started! As soon as i could shake off my hangover .

Around lunch time it started raining which i was happy about, (well i wanted to make good use out of my wellies) it stopped around an hour after, and for the whole of Glastonbury it was muddy from the amount of people treading and making it deep and soggy.

After the first day i had no charge on my phone which made it extra hard to contact friends, i went to the phone charge tent and the que was unbelievably long, luckily my friend had a phone charge pack which was fantastic, it charged three phones around 5 times.

The festival was fantastic and we all left with fantastic memories. The smell of fire, the feel of mud, watching some of my favorite bands ever! it was worth every penny.

Here are the things i would recommend taking too Glastonbury:

– wellingtons

-a waterproof mac

-Wheels to cart your luggage and alcohol through the festival

– food

– alcohol

-make up wipes

– cleaning wipes

Boardmasters Review

I really didn’t know what to expect from Boardmasters, the price- relatively cheap as far as festivals go… good line-up and in Newquay. But i have some great tips and reviews of this festival.

Getting into the festival-I traveled from Bristol, which is a good three hours away. Driving down in my little mini was good fun!. I added parking on top of my ticket which was an additional £10, although they didn’t sent the tickets through so i had to wait for them to check online, it was a good price. I’m not sure where any other parking options were! so i would highly recommend it. The entrance into Boardmasters wasn’t the best, long ques and a HUGE bag search, only a limited amount of alcohol and no BBQ. They even took my Doritos dip!!!! i was horrified! (i still think the steward was hungry).

The festival in itself was very young, not really what i expected. I’m 22 and i felt very old compared to Glastonbury. Although the music was very good (Ben Howard was unbelievable), i couldn’t help but compare the festival too Glastonbury, and be very disappointed from the lack of surfers and skaters at this festival. Boardmasters seems to have lost what it struck out to do in the first place.  I felt although the festival was cheaper I ended up spending more on alcohol (see photo below too see my drunken state).

I would not recommend familys or couples to this festival, but 16 year olds looking for a good time will fit in no problem!.

Sorry boardmasters, i had a good time but i’m in no rush too come back!

Boardmasters…

Next week, were off too Boardmasters, which is a 3 night festival in newquay, it consists of a surfing competition (not that we’ll be involved), music, and drinking.

We’ve never been before so it’s hard trying to know what to bring! I’v been doing abit of research to find what the best things on the market are. Taking into account, ill be surfing, the high possibility of being on the beach and watching bands!

#1 – Surfing!

This wetsuit is called the O’Neill Bahia Long-Sleeve Short Spring Wetsuit. Perfect for ladies who want to jump in the sea and still look sexy. These wetsuits start from around £79,99.

#2 – The classic Denim Shorts!

Denim shorts are a must have for any festival, There comfortable and they ALWAYS look better worn! So this website http://www.beyondretro.com is the perfect place to go to get your vintage shorts!.
