Do It Yourself Hair Garland

This hair garland is quick and easy to make – and cheap too! Making your own gives you the opportunity to be unique and match your garland colours to your outfit!

BEFORE WE BEGIN…

To make a hair garland you are going to need:

Ribbon

Sellotape and Scissors 

Flowers (you could use fresh flowers if you have enough time to make it beforehand)

Wire

We were able to purchase everything here from Hobby craft but if you are organised you can search the internet for cheap decorative flowers.

STEP 1

First of all take the wire and wrap it around your head. Do it quite loose but so that it sits on your head. Adding flowers and ribbon will make it feel tighter. Cut the Wire and wrap the wire back on itself to secure the shape.

You then need to cut your flowers. Leave some stem, as you are going to need to sellotape the flowers to the wire to keep them in place.  Ensure you add flowers, leaves and fill it up as much as you can! The more the better!

STEP 2

You now need to take the ribbon and wrap it around your garland. Ensure to do it quite securely to keep the flowers in place. If you feel that they aren’t secure enough you could use some glue to hold it in place.

Once you have finished, you can either cut off all the ribbon, or you can tie it in a bow or however you feel like finishing your garland
